Orgasm vs Ejaculation (1)

Many people wrongly believe that orgasm and ejaculation occur at the same time. Not always. In fact, some men don't ejaculate until several seconds after orgasm. And some men who are physically unable to ejaculate might find that they are still able to have orgasms.

Ejaculatory Inevitability was created by noted sex researchers Masters and Johnson, and it suggests that, for most men, orgasm is inevitable after a certain amount of stimulation occurs. In their research, it was found that 75 percent of men reach orgasm after two minutes or less of masturbation.

Although men might be more likely to reach orgasm during intercourse, their orgasms tend to be shorter. Learning how to have multiple orgasms takes a bit of effort, and in addition, these are non-ejaculatory orgasms (not your typical orgasm). However, men have been practicing the art of multiple orgasms for thousands of years with the help of tantra and other techniques.

According to Masters and Johnson, a man's refractory period (the time in which he needs to rest before achieving another orgasm) can last anywhere from one minute to an hour. Much of it depends on age, physical fitness, and a healthy lifestyle.
